Vision

Providing substantive ministry to all military service members and their families -- to those who are serving as well as to those who have served -- by actively engaging the needs on five "Ministry Fronts."

Ministry Fronts

*************************

Support to Military & Families

Providing focused spiritual, emotional and practical support to our St. George’s military members and their families, especially during military member deployments. Volunteers bring a wide range of personal military experience and depth of commitment to this ministry.

Supplying Spiritual Resilience

Developing an educational encounter that will cultivate a reservoir of spiritual resilience for those who participate. Sessions will frame the toughest battle-related questions and issues solidly within the context of Christian faith and understanding. Attendees, whether preparing for their first or their fifth deployment, will find their strength and virtue renewed, their hearts and minds well prepared to engage or to reengage the battlefield.

Seminars for Supporters

Delivering half-day educational seminars to any church, ministry, or organization wishing to learn effective ways of engaging in ministry to help bring strength and healing to military members and families. Seminars address the issues of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), as well as promote proactive approaches for ministry. Lead presenters include veterans and subject matter experts.  If you’re not sure where to begin, this seminar is for you!

Special Projects

Sponsoring special projects throughout the year that provide substantive support to our military members and their families. This year members of St. George’s Anglican Church have provided assistance to homeless veterans, support for the Warrior Games program and care packages to deployed military members through our annual Stockings for Soldiers project.  Check out our Special Projects page to see the latest happenings on this Ministry Front!

Solid Resources

Providing a continuously updated listing of solid, front line Front Range resources (Colorado Springs region) that can confidently be called upon to assist in providing first class services and care to military members and their families. For your convenience, each resource listed includes a brief description as well as the resource's web link and contact information. If you don’t find a service that addresses your need on our Resource pages, please let us know and we will do our best to find one for you!
